 “…Marco Tarabella ,homo faber, an imprudent artist who moves between the creative need and  practice: he startles by playing with matter.

A dissident ceramist, total in all the phases of creation where every detail tells an instinctive expression, a kind of sudden journey: he collects in different natural contexts the clays, prepares the bodies, the glazes, recycles industrial raw and mineral. The self-built woodfired downdraft  kilns are made with recycled refractories. This creative journey shows us unique, authentic pieces, the result of manual work and deep connection with the environment. The burning of wood, recycled everywhere from abandoned packaging to pruning, gives his works the strength of a unique gesture telling us an artistic process that is not limited to the creation of forms but also extends to the care of the firing process.

The narrative is in every piece, it is the verse of a larger story where creation goes beyond the finished gesture as an act of courage.

Through the ceramics of Marco Tarabella we celebrate the imperfection as part of the work, because through these we perceive the production process that changes the error in an author’s signature.

Tarabella embraces art as a means to reaffirm the uniqueness of his being, mirroring his gestures and the environment he inhabits.
