This tool allows you to convert an audio track (single-instrument, polyphonic) into a MIDI file (.mid). It leverages Spotify’s Basic Pitch technology along with custom processing libraries to ensure high-fidelity results.

Why use this tool?

The core feature is perfect synchronization. If your DAW audio track is exactly 72 seconds long, the generated MIDI will also be exactly 72 seconds. This ensures the MIDI remains a perfect reference within your project session, allowing you to seamlessly replace your original recording with synth strings or other virtual instruments.

How to use it:

1. Upload your audio: Once uploaded, check its exact duration.
2. Set the timing: Convert the duration to seconds and enter it in the box provided.
3. DAW Sync: Enter the BPM and Time Signature of your DAW project.
4. Refine the performance:
   • Octave Transposition: Shift the range (e.g., turn a bass performance into a violin part).
   • Legato: Enable this to emulate the smooth, connected phrasing typical of strings and woodwinds.
